_Vauxhall Missing Link

In collaboration with EMBYA (Brazil) and ECOstudioXV (Mexico) Our proposal promotes the consolidation of Vauxhall as a neighbourhood forming linkages and reoccupying parks and streets, as much as the planning of its out-reach towards neighbouring areas along and across the River Thames. A simple yet effective system of ‘nodes and connections’ is proposed, linking previously disconnected buildings, streets and gardens severed by the Rail Archway Spine and the Albert Embankment, re-discovering a network of green links that revitalises Vauxhall’s urban fabric. Five distinct Quarters are proposed, each aimed at improving the quality of life of existing residents as well as new dwellers, workers and visitors to the area.
